Electronic evidence consists of data which is stored or transmitted via computer equipment and gathered by an expert examiner by way of specialized applications in an IT-related investigation such that it may be used as physical evidence in a court proceeding.
Lately, we have been witnessing consistently frequent changes in terms of regulations applicable to the corporate world, where the technological factor and its specific weight gains more relevance when it comes to devising internal corporate control systems.
Aware of this fact, and anticipating a short-term gap that both private and public-sector enterprises will be suffering, Nextel S.A. has decided to boost its service offer in the field of IT-related security, and empower the existing business lines associated to electronic-evidence management. For this purpose, we have decided to engage the collaboration of AEDEL, the Spanish Electronic Evidence Association, as our first-choice partner due to its higher experience and accrued know-how in this field at a domestic level.
Owing to AEDEL’s participation, we carry out activities that foster raising corporate awareness with regards to the need for means that enable assuring the substantiating nature of the information they handle. For this aim, in addition to sessions specifically designed to discuss this topic, Nextel S.A. provides training suited to each client involving comprehensive tutoring with a special focus on this problem area and ways to address it during the course of the organization’s day-to-day activities, showing public and private entities the solutions available to demonstrably assure the effectiveness of the implemented internal control measures.
