EFQM (European Foundation for Quality Management), is a non-profit making European Foundation for Quality Management. It was founded in 1988 by the presidents of 14 major European companies backed by the European Commission.
It currently has more than 800 individual companies and collective organisation members in more than 38 European countries. Euskalit (Basque Foundation for Quality) is one of these members.
Its mission is to be the force behind the promotion of Sustained Excellence in Europe. Its vision is a world in which European companies stand out with their Excellence.
The Euskalit Foundation, created by the Basque Government, was founded in 1992 to promote the improvement and innovation of Management via the promotion of the total quality culture in companies and in all the areas of society, with the aim of collaborating in the promotion of development, competitiveness and the well-being of the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country.
